Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

That is a long-running bug that has remained unfixed. Hope we get to the bottom of it someday soon. Apologies.

Preston was the first rock artist to do a concert at Radio City Music Hall. I was a summer employee at the Music Hall (people who work there never call it "Radio City") and one of the stagehands told me that, for more than a week before the concert, Preston would come every night after the last stage show was over and practice on the Mighty Hammond.

The electric coffee grinder is in a cabinet below the counter, and it is more difficult to clean, and I am more likely to break it. For some reason, I enjoy crushing the cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, cloves, or cumin seeds in the mortar & pestle.
